Today's Tip: I belong to a free website called tadalist.com, which stores your to-do lists online. There are also apps for this! You can use apps or sites like tadalist to make reusable packing lists and check items off as you pack. 

 

Tips for Tuesdays: A Finger Tip

Today's Tip: I use a lot of hand sanitizer when traveling and my cuticles end up very dry. I've found that many lip balms, such as unflavored ChapStick, will also keep your hands moisturized. But, you'll want to use a different stick for lips and germy fingers! 

 

Tips for Tuesdays: Visit Islands During Shoulder Season

Today's Tip: Peak season rates on islands often reflect nearby countries' vacation schedules rather than the best time to visit. For example, Bali's hotels fill up with the Japanese in early May and Australians in January. But, in low season many businesses shut down. So, shoulder season - when crowds are thinner but the weather is still good - is the best solution! 

 

Tips for Tuesdays: Leak Proofing

Today's Tip: Many travel shampoo bottles come with a pop top that you flick open with a finger. I'm always afraid of having one accidentally open en roue and leak all over my suitcase (It's happened a few times...) Then I got smart and started unscrewing the cap and putting a bit of plastic wrap over the opening. Then I screw the cap back on and voila! Instant extra layer of protection so I won't open my suitcase to a big mess!
